Royal Paladin Clan

The first Clan I will talk about is the first Clan I was introduced to. The Royal Paladin Clan.

Lore

Royal Paladins are the first regular army of the United Sanctuary, the Nation that they come from. They are elite knight, warriors and animal trainers; who defend the rightful leader of the planet Cray, the King of Knights, Alfred. Royal Paladins will do everything in their power to protect their homes and people. The goal of their king is to defend the smiles of his people and for bloodless battles.

Play style

Royal Paladin players have a lot of deck builds at their disposal, it's a very creative Clan and is easy to use. For easy uses, some people will make an Alfred Beat-down deck to begin with; it's easy and constant. Alfred has the ability to Superior Call a Grade 2 or less unit to a Rear-Guard circle, an excellent tactic is to use his skill and Call the unit Blaster Blade to retire an opponents unit. He also gains +2000 attack for every Rear-Guard that is a Royal Paladin on top of his 10000 power, but he cannot be boosted. Along with Soul Saver Dragon and White Dragon Knight, Pendragon, the deck can be a tough barrier to break. While the deck isn't competitive, it is fun and a great starter deck to make.

Knight of Godly Speed, Galahad is another card that is fun also, but a bit difficult to use; it requires a ride chain, which is a deck build around getting the units listed in the skill of the card out fast. Knight of Godly Speed, Galahad is a quite powerful that can Soul Charge cards when he is rode on top of his Grade 2 version. On top of that he can Counterblast two cards in the Damage Zone and gains +3000 power and +1 Critical, a dangerous move to use in a final turn. Galahad is quite fun but a hard deck to use, but quite fun.

Fang of Light, Garmore is a frustrating deck construction, it makes use of the Grade 1 units called Snogal and Brugal, Garmore gains +1000 power for each of them in the Rear-Guard circles, while is gains a lot of power and heavy attacks; once you lose those units Garmore is rendered useless. Fang of Light, Garmore is very hard and difficult to get use to.

Booster Set 5: Awakening of the Twin Blades came out with a competitive card that goes by the name of, Majesty Lord Blaster. This card shaped the beginning of competitive decks for the Royal Paladin Clan. Majesty Lord Blaster has two skills, One: when he attack the enemy Vanguard, you can put the named cards Blaster Blade and his shadowy counterpart, Blaster Dark into the Soul to give him +10000 power for the turn. Two: When Blaster Blade and Blaster Dark are in the Soul, Majesty Lord Blaster gains +2000 power and a +1 Critical for the entire game. Majesty Lord Blaster has made a huge impact for Royal Paladin players around Japan, America, Australia, all over the world that Cardfight!! Vanguard has been published.

The last deck I will talk about is the archetype for the Royal Paladin Clan is the Jewel Knights, which came out in Booster Set 10: Trumpet Return of the King of Knights. Jewel Knight use two Grade 3 units to the full extent, Pure Heart Jewel Knight, Ashlei and Leading Jewel Knight, Salome. Ashlei is a great card that has the ability to gain +2000 power once she attacks, boosting her 11000 power to 13000 and then boosting her with a Grade 1 of any kind will make her quite strong. But she truly shines when another Royal Paladin rides over the top of her, namely; Salome. When that happens and you're at four damage, the Break Ride activates, giving Salome or any Royal Paladin +10000 power for the turn and +1 Critical. Salome can Counterblast two cards to look for another Jewel Knight, why is that relevant? I'll tell you. She has a Limit Break skill that gives her +2000 and +1 Critical if there are four or more Jewel Knights in the Rear-Guard circles until the end of her battle. Jewel Knights will shape a shining future for Royal Paladins everywhere soon.

Conclusion

As I was first introduced to Royal Paladins first, I've enjoyed using them, they are a great overall Clan and have a lot of different play styles.

The main guy himself: Blaster Blade.
